‘Burka Avenger’ Now Airs in India

We can all use a good heroine. The animated Burka Avenger uses her powers (books and pens, and advanced acrobatics) to stand for justice, peace, and education for all. Most significantly, she empowers girls.

The award-winning program has aired in Pakistan and Afghanistan since 2013. This month, it begins showing in India.

    This is funny but empowering at the same time. It definitely shows a heroic, courageous Muslim woman while disregarding all the negative stereotypes. More power to the people who made this 🙂
